The short version

Recipe Card Generator runs in your browser. There are no accounts, and the site does not ask for, collect, or store personal information on any server we operate. Your recipe box lives in your browser’s local storage on your device.

What happens when you convert a link

When you paste a recipe link, your browser asks our relay — a small Cloudflare Worker — to fetch that page’s HTML so the card can be built. The relay passes the page through and caches popular pages briefly at the network edge; it does not store your identity, and standard, transient request logs are handled by Cloudflare under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Paste-text mode makes no network request at all.

Local storage

The recipe box saves cards using your browser’s local storage. This data never leaves your device and can be removed by deleting entries in the box or clearing your browser data.

Advertising

To keep the tool free, pages on this site may display advertising served by third parties such as Google AdSense. Ad providers may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure them; where required (for example in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland) you will be shown a consent choice before any such cookies are used, and you can decline personalized advertising. Google describes its use of data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Affiliate links

Some pages may include affiliate links, including Amazon links generated from a recipe’s ingredient list. As an Amazon Associate, this site earns from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links add no cost to you and are always marked with a disclosure near where they appear.

Analytics

If privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics are enabled in the future, this policy will be updated to name the provider and what is measured. No analytics are bundled into the generator itself.

Children

The site is a general-audience cooking tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
